We spoke with Sabrina to find out more.
How did Sabrina Fossi Design originate?
Sabrina Fossi Design started its own production in 2013 in partnership with LIAF, a company based near Florence that has been creating handmade interiors and products for home and commercial spaces since 1984.
You have a very minimal style. Why is this important to you?
I do indeed have a minimal style. For me “design” is about simplicity and functionality.
How does your Italian heritage affect you design?
My Italian heritage affects my production; each product has made by Italian master craftsman. Each object benefits from the rich experience that the craftsmen have passed down through generations.
What does a typical studio day look like?
My typical studio day is at the computer, either designing new products or establishing new partnerships. When I’m not at the PC I follow the production, controlling the quality of the products to ensure it is always of the highest standard.
What is new for 2016/17?
I’m not planning any exhibitions this year, but I am going to be launching some exciting new products soon and not only for home, so watch this space…!
