At Masion et Objet this year one thing was clear, this year’s products are taking inspiration from cosmology and all things space. The cosmic theme could be seen throughout the show and here our eporta scouts bring you the top brands highlighting this trend.

Munna are a brand constantly inspired by nature and therefore have not missed out on the cosmic trend, even their stand was branded with the words “planets will align – if you give them time”.

Now’s Home:

Natural moon-like marbles, as well as coloured marbled textured accessories could be seen throughout the Now’s Home stand with chromed finishes keeping a neutral palette.

Llot Llov:

Llot Llov have been focussing their latest product developments on a new salt crystal surface which can be applied direct to walls and also to furniture for a unique finish.

Hamilton Conte:

Hamilton Conte’s latest lighting, Apollo and Ariane, are inspired by space missions, using the gold or copper structures to highlight familiar forms.

VITA Copenhagen:

Known already for their organic shapes and products inspired by nature, VITA Copenhagen proposed the Silvia XL as a new size. They showed it in a new iridescent colour way that is in development with their design team.

Mullan Lighting:

Mullan’s Tokyo Sputnik Chandelier was shown in polished brass with brass dipped bulbs to create the ultimate cosmic statement.

17 Patterns:

17 Patterns add to their Beyond Nebulous and Cloud Busting cushion and wallpaper range with these new cosmic inspired designs.

Whitebeam Studio:

Whitebeam’s museum quality prints are inspired by lunar movements, exploring textures in an organic way.

Red Edition:

Also inspired by lunar movements, the Eclipse Mirror from Red Edition combines a grey tinted mirror with increasingly popular polished brass.
